"and I don't mean the color" this is what chloe said as we planted some peppers, squash and tomato plants earlier today. the kids learned alot about being green at school on earth day. I try my best to be as "green" as possible and at age 3 1/2 and 5 both kids know what the recycle symbol looks like and where to find it. they know what items to put in our recycle box and they also know about reusing. Chloe had her dance photos today in Paris so we went to wal-mart afterwards. We made sure to take our old plastic bags so they can be recycled as well as taking our reusable bags (usually i forget them). We were able to leave wal-mart w/0 plastic bags. My sister bought me the Deceptively Delicious book that I have been wanting since it came out last year. This book is for parents who have kids that don't want to eat their veggies. This is a constant battle in our home, not fruit, just veggies. Usually Ihave to tell my kids to stop eating all of the strawberries/blueberries/blackberries. We found a food processor for $29, I cannot wait to start cooking my Deceptively Delicious recipes . Our pastors birthday was on Friday so our Sunday school class is bringing in something for breakfast tomorrow. I am making blueberry lemon muffins from this book. Right now I am waiting for my yellow squash to steam. Then into the food processor to be pureed and then into the muffins. I hope they taste good, if not I may have to say that Stephanie made them ;).
I also cannot wait for our plants to grow some veggies (keep your fingers crossed that we can actually grow something this year) so that I can use those veggies instead of going to the farmers market or grocery store!
